Welcome to the 2011 Manitoba Fearless Season!

Welcome to the 4th Season of the Manitoba Fearless Women's Tackle Football team!

This is a very exciting year as we have in conjunction with the Alberta and Saskatchewan teams created the WWCFL, Western Women's Canadian Football League. Our Season begins in May with a Jamboree in Regina on May 7th. The WWCFL finals are early in July.

A bit about Team Fearless:

Team Fearless began in 2008. Girls from all over Winnipeg joined forces, traveled to Edmonton and played their first ever game against the Edmonton Storm and the Calgary Rage. Over the years the Sport of Women's tackle football has grown and has seen Fearless playing teams from Minnesota and Iowa as well as three teams from Western Canada. It has also seen 9 fearless players and 2 coaches being selected to Team Canada for the first ever World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden. Team Canada very proudly beat Germany on Canada day in a tough fought match and went on to earn a Silver medal.
As we embark on this exciting season team Fearless has created a Board of Directors and secured top notch coaches that are dedicated to making this a season to remember.

Why Join the Fearless?

As we go into Season #4 our dedicated players and Coaching staff will ensure a positive playing environment. We have a code of conduct for both players and staff as well as player liaisons to ensure everyone’s concerns are heard.

We are currently offering indoor training and will be heading outside as soon as the snow is gone. Every training session begins with our head coach Craig Bachynski explaining the basics of the game. As we get closer to the start of ye season this will transform into a more position and system specific learning session.

The 2nd half of each session is run by Coach Eric Vincent running us through skills and drills to ensure we are all ready when it's time to play. First payment is for registration, $25.00 covers insurance costs to ensure you are covered in any football related situation.

How much does it cost to play?

The board of Directors is finalizing the budget for the 2011 season.
We will be traveling to Regina and Saskatoon this season so hotel and travel will be a factor. However we will be offering numerous fundraising opportunities to ensure costs are kept as low as possible.

We will be hosting team events as well as individual fundraising opportunities. We have had players in previous seasons who made enough during fundraising that they paid nothing to play or travel.

How much is equipment?

The only mandatory equipment that you will need to purchase are cleats and a mouthguard. The rest of our equipment is generously provided by football clubs throughout the city. The St.Vital Mustangs and East Side Eagle have been great supporters of our team from year 1.

Who do we play?

The teams that have agreed to put in teams in the WWCFL are as Follows

Western Division
Edmonton Storm
Calgary Rage
Lethbridge Steel

Prairie Division
Manitoba Fearless
Regina Riot
Nomads WolfPack
Saskatoon Valkyrie

We play in the Prairie Division.
The schedules are still being finalized.

Are travel costs something I have to pay/arrange on my own?

No, as a team we fundraise to help cover the costs of travel. We will travel as a team and all travel plans will be made for you.
